With a subtle hint of The National and The Pogues, Young Rebel Set gets you hooked right from the beginning, and no wonder why: they were born and raised in England, the musical cradle of great bands.
Even though their oldest tracks have a similarity to The Kooks’ rhythm, their latest songs manage to pull off more of an ‘american western’ style, as if the band was, somehow, musically related to an up-tempo Johnny Cash.
Their songs are the result of smart pace and an unerring voice, like an offspring of European descendence and southern american upbringing.
