1. THE INDIE TRENDY: WHICH WAS YOUR FIRST PROFESSIONAL ILLUSTRATION?
ËLODIE: My first commissioned illustration was in the end of last year, La Marelle Editions called me to be part of their illustrators’ team (they make a range of stationery and small items). I remember when they called me I was thrilled ! I couldn’t believe it, until the first items were edited with my illustrations on it. The first illustration I made for them (edited on a postcard and a smallbook):
2. T.I.T: TELL US ABOUT YOUR INSPIRATIONAL CONCEPTS.
ËLODIE: I ‘m mostly inspired by fashion, so I always follow new trends on the internet, and I like to reach some old editors too. But there’s a another side to my personality, which you can feel in some of my illustrations: my childish side! I was raised watching vintage Disney cartoons, and reading Martine, Caroline and other books for little girls from the 60’ that i found at my grandma’s, and I have to say that never left me! I think you can see that influence in some of my illustrations.
3. T.I.T: ARTISTIC INFLUENCES?
ËLODIE: David Downton (of course), Marguerite Sauvage
4. T.I.T: NAME SOME OF YOUR FASHION FAVORITES:
ËLODIE: Chanel (the last Paris-Bombay show killed me), Marc Jacobs
5. T.I.T: PICK A WORD TO DESCRIBE YOUR WORK.
